FSW’s ‘BRING A TIN’ Campaign gets some high profile supporters

Bring A Tin Graphic

The rise in food and fuel costs is affecting everyone, but for the Sussex families that FSW support many are finding budgeting effectively impossible. Increasing living costs means many are finding it hard to make ends meet, with even staple foods like bread and pasta being incredibly costly.  As a result families are going hungry.

FSW has created a new scheme called ‘BRING A TIN’ where schools and businesses can simply request pupils and employees to bring in a tin of in-date food for FSW. Not only will this help those who need it most but it will raise awareness of local poverty.

Team GB Handball star Ciaran Williams, who has just become a patron for the Charity said “FSW does so much for those in need, I felt strongly about getting involved”.

Another supporter of the scheme is presenter Sarah Greene, said “BRING A TIN” is a brilliant idea. “Every year at my school, we did the same thing for all the elderly people closeby.  FSW’s clients will benefit immensely”. Many others including comedian and Match of the Day presenter Kevin Day, and actress Emma Fletcher have all given the scheme their backing.

FSW try to have a food stock all year round, so it is seeking schools and businesses who would like to support the Charity through ‘BRING A TIN’. Contact Knowles Tooth Children’s Centre for more information:
